  • 700g floury potatoes, cooked and riced
  • 150g plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 40g butter, softened
  • pinch salt
  • 80g ground poppy seeds
  • 60g icing sugar
  • 60g butter, melted

Method

  1. Mix warm riced potatoes with flour, egg, softened butter, and salt to form a soft dough.
  2. Roll dough into finger-thick ropes and cut into short noodles.
  3. Gently roll each piece into tapered potato noodles.
  4. Simmer in salted water until they float, about 3-4 minutes. Drain carefully.
  5. Toss in melted butter, then coat generously with ground poppy seeds and icing sugar.
  6. Serve warm with extra sugar on the side.
