Austrian pan-fried meatballs of minced beef and pork with onion, egg, and marjoram.

Ingredients

  • 400g minced beef
  • 200g minced pork
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Season generously.
  2. Shape into flat, palm-sized patties about 1.5cm thick.
  3. Fry in oil over medium heat 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through and nicely browned.
  4. Serve with Erdapfelsalat and mustard.
